Sharon Higgins

Sharon joined the practice as a data input clerk in 1994 and became Practice Manager in 2001. She is also a trained phlebotomist and the practice I.T lead. Sharon has generated much change over the past 4 years, which included the training of the reception team in recording new patient health information for which the team were nominated for and won an excellence award, initiated training in phlebotomy for non clinical staff and also encouraged changes in the use of computers which has led to the practice becoming paperless.

Jenny Buxton

Jenny joined the practice in 1987 as a receptionist. She has since trained in the clinical receptionist role, has been the senior receptionist and has recently been promoted to administration and management assistant. She works part time and is the first point of contact for patients referred by the reception manager for issues that cannot be resolved on reception level. Jenny has a special interest in ensuring that carers of housebound, disabled or aged patients have relevant information on community care and associations that are available to aid carers.

Shirley Stride

Shirley joined the practice in 1990 as the Practice Secretary. She works full time and is available by telephone from 9am-5pm. Shirley is responsible for all information flows from and to the practice, which amongst other things include referral letters and medical reports for insurance companies.
